First, undress the upper body and examine it visually in front of a mirror;
- With arms hanging loosely at both sides,
- With arms at the waist,
- When the arms are raised above the head on both sides,
- When the arms are on both sides with the body leaning forward,
- Abnormal growth in one of the breasts,
- Whether one breast is more saggy than the other,
- Wrinkling of the breast skin,
- Change in nipple color,
- Pitting of the nipple,
- Bloody discharge from the nipple,
- Swelling of the breast,
- Abnormal protrusion in the breast,
- Enlargement of the breast, neck, or armpit lymph nodes,
- Check for swelling in the upper arm. In case of any suspicious findings, consult the nearest healthcare facility for examination.
Then, lying on your back, examine each breast in turn with your hands, checking for any
- Sensitivity,
- Feeling,
- Swelling,
- Hardness,
- Protrusion should be checked for.
