Assistant Professor Nuran Akyurt, Ph.D., is currently lecturing, and also a board member in Medical Imaging Department, Marmara University Health Assistance Vocational School.
Mrs. Akyurt completed master’s degree in Marmara University, with ‘A Research about Benefits of High Kvp Technique on Quality of X-Ray and Interpretation of X-Ray to Posterior-Anterior Lung Graphics’. She received doctorate’s degree from Istanbul University, with ‘A Research about How the Standards are Conducted by Radiology Executives in Private Hospitals in Istanbul. Mrs. Akyurt has several peer- reviewed articles in both national and international journals. Work of Mrs. Akyurt has published on International Scientific Congresses, also full text on statement papers.
Mrs. Akyurt published three books by national and international publishing houses, and wrote a chapter for a book also. She coordinated and worked as a researcher in several projects; ‘Improving Human Rights with Vocational Education Project’ (in collaboration with National Education Ministry and Council of Higher Education), FP7, and National Agency projects. She is a Youth Adviser for EU, and a Club Adviser for a student club in Marmara University. She also contributed, conducted, guided to write national or international projects about youth, vocational employment, medicine services specialized for disabled people. She received first place in 2017 for oral presentation, in 2007 for poster; second place in 2016 for poster, third place in 2016 for poster; also honor award in 2013, and higher achiever award in 1996 by universities and other vocational organizations. She peer-reviews papers for international journals, carries on moderator, scientific secretariat, regulator for scientific council duties as well. She teaches the courses: ‘Fundamental Radiology’, ‘Entrepreneurship’, ‘Turkish Language’, ‘How to Improve EU Projects’, ‘Project Management’ in state and private universities. She is Married, has got two Childern.
