Dr. Gamze Varol graduated from Trakya University Medical Faculty in 1998 and completed her post graduate education in Public Health Department of the same faculty. She worked in various institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Health until the end of 2007 and began to work as a Lecturer in Namık Kemal University Medical Faculty in 2008. She received the title of Public Health Associate Professor in 2015. She is currently working as the head of the Department of Public Health at NKU Medical Faculty and is also the chairman of the Turkish Medical Association-Tekirdağ Medical Chamber. Her fields of work are environmental health, occupational health and chronic diseases.

She is also a member of Turkish Public Health Specialist Association and works in executive board on Public Turkish Medical Association Health Branch and The Right to Clean Air Platform.
