Treatment for recurrent cancer varies depending on the location and size of the cancer and previous treatments the patient has received. If the cancer recurs in a breast that was not removed, that breast is removed. If the cancer occurs in different parts of the body, treatment may include chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or biological therapy. Radiotherapy can control cancer that occurs in the chest wall or in specific areas of the body.<\/p>\n<p>Supportive care is the most important part of the treatment plan. Many patients receive supportive care while undergoing anti-cancer treatment to slow disease progression and alleviate symptoms.
